Why it's in the guide
A useful interchange station on the District line and London Overground, serving the western edge of Chelsea near Stamford Bridge. The Overground connection (Mildmay line) links you to Clapham Junction, Shepherd's Bush, and beyond. The station itself is Grade II listed with a Victorian charm. Handy for Chelsea FC matches and the Brompton Cemetery. Less crowded than Sloane Square, which is sometimes reason enough to use it.
On Chelsea match days it heaves either side of kick-off — time your journey around it, or come for Brompton Cemetery's calm instead.
