Why it's in the guide
Yes, it's owned by James Blunt and his wife Sofia Wellesley. But get past the celebrity factor and this is a genuinely excellent gastropub on a quiet Chelsea backstreet. Rustic interiors with working fireplaces, a kitchen turning out elevated British comfort food, and a cosy atmosphere that makes you want to settle in for the afternoon. The Sunday roast is particularly good. Small and intimate, book ahead for dinner.
Properly off the beaten path. Worth the walk for a quiet pint
