South Kensington Station

Three tube lines at Chelsea's northern border

Why it's in the guide

While technically in South Kensington, this station serves the northern end of Chelsea brilliantly. District, Circle, and Piccadilly lines give you excellent connectivity, Heathrow direct on the Piccadilly, central London on the others. The pedestrian tunnel to the V&A, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum is a nice bonus. The station area is always buzzing with tourists, students, and locals. A major transport hub for the Chelsea/Kensington border.

The subway to the museums means you can deliver kids to the Natural History Museum bone-dry in a downpour.
