Why it's in the guide

The cafe section of the iconic Bluebird complex on King's Road. Housed in a beautifully restored 1920s Art Deco garage, the cafe offers all-day dining with excellent coffee and a lighter menu than the main restaurant. The courtyard is the star attraction in warmer months, grab a table outside with a flat white and a pastry and soak up the King's Road atmosphere. One of Chelsea's landmark spaces.

Sit in the courtyard — the Grade II Art Deco building started life in 1923 as the largest car garage in Europe.
